DESCRIPTION
FLOTTEO are highly efficient dissolved-air flotation units with a large treatment capacity. They are particularly recommended for separating wastewater containing high levels of suspended solids and liquids (oils and fats), as well as for separating sludge through decanting and surface scraping. The effluent has a high dry matter content.
This equipment can be combined with physicochemical treatment such as an Automatic Polymer Dosing System (APDS), coagulant injection, etc.

How it works
Compact and easy to use, dissolved air flotation units effectively pretreat effluents or industrial wastewater and reduce their pollutant load (SS, grease, COD, BOD₅, phosphorus). Air is dissolved under pressure into a stream of water. This pressurized water is injected into the unit just below the raw water inlet to be treated. In a mixing zone designed for this purpose, the microbubbles of air (20 to 50 microns) generated by the expansion adhere to the particles and cause them to float to the surface, from where the foam is scraped into a discharge chute.
